Jil Sander and TOP 10 from Milan FW // Fall 2012

As you can understand by the title, Jil Sander's Fall 2012 collection is my top of the tops up to now, among New York, London and Milan fashion shows. Strongly reminding me the style and beauty of Grace Kelly with some futuristic elements, this collection could not be just a part of my top 10 preferences, not even the first. The color, textures, lengths, hair and makeup, practically everything made me feel a sweet nostalgia and places it in a category of its own.

It was so difficult to limit down the photos, but I tried to pick the most representative. Scroll down to see more.

The sad news came right after the show, when it was announced that Raf Simmons, the designer, or better the creator of such beauty, was leaving and Jil Sander herself was coming back to the brand. It was called by many fashion blogs as the "swan song" of Raf Simons, and I guess that couldn't be said better.

And here are the rest, the TOP 10, which is oxymoron because in my opinion nothing can top Jil Sander.

1. Bottega Venetta's Bold Shoulders on Sheath Midi Dresses
2. Max Mara's Army and Navy
3. Versace's Sexy Crusaders
4. Blumarine's Neon Color Furs
5. Gianfranco Ferre's Wrap Coats

6. Dolce e Gabbana's Shy Brides and Sexy Widows

7. Alberta Ferretti's Black See-Throughs with Feathers, Lace and Tulle
8. DSquared2's Sixty's Inspired Cropped Pants and Midi Skirts
9. Emilio Pucci's Front High Slits
10. Emporio Armani's "Twin Sets" in Bermudas
