'Earthly Paradise' by Claire Pettibone // Bridal Collections

Today is the first day of March and I wanted to celebrate the Nature's blooming with something whimsical and feminine. Nothing better than a bridal collection to welcome Spring, right? Claire Pettibone named her latest collection 'Earthly Paradise' inspired by the paintings of Victorian artist Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema.

Dutch born Victorian artist Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema painted scenes of languid beauties reminiscent of Roman deities, but his subjects are unmistakably human. Caught in a moment of relaxation or idle daydream…we can almost feel the cool marble and the warm Mediterranean sunlight. Elements of precious embellishment, sun drenched color and effortless luxury set the stage for our modern goddesses.

Every gown has a name, such as Aria, Alma, Aphrodite, Diana etc., so I decided that it would be helpful to add it at the bottom of each collage, in case you are interested. Enjoy...
