I read the other day in Vogue that "designers have been hinting at the country's [India] beauty". Can you imagine that? A festival of the brightest colors for our winter wardrobe?

Holi is a religious festival celebrated by Hindus every year, on the day after the full moon in early March. This day is celebrated by people throwing colored powder and colored water to each other.

Apart from the Holi festival, Indians dress in bright colored clothes in their daily lives.

Karl Lagerfeld has already done some India for Chanel, with the Pre-Fall 2012 "Paris-Bombay" Collection, BUT he did not focus on the colors.

And here are some more photos from India, all taken by my friend and ex-colleague, Alexandros Tsoutis, who I admire deeply for his talent and his way of seeing beauty everywhere. Get inspired and mind-travel!
