Couple of days ago I was invited by L'Oreal Professionnel and Dimitris Petrou to the designer's Fall 2015 fashion show "Empêchement, (n) an unexpected last-minute change of plans."
The event took place at the most beautiful and aristocratic hotel of Athens, the Grande Bretagne, inside the Grand Ballroom, and it was definitely a night to remember! The collection was one of the biggest I have ever attended, inspired by Paris, the City of Light, through the eyes of the great Emile Zola and 5 of his masterpieces: La Debacle (red is the key color with black fur, leather and military details) / Germinal (grey tailored suits for men) / Nana (sequins, velvet and sexy feminine cuts) / Therese Raquin (lace, cool wool, androgynous figures in black & white) / Contes a Ninon ( silk, transparencies, embellishments, ruffles and tulle)
Dimitris Petrou is not only one of the most promising, talented and productive Greek young designers right now, but I can guarantee you that he is also one of the kindest, sweetest, most polite, down-to-earth, hardworking people I have ever met! Well done, Dimitris, it was an honor and privilege to meet someone like you. Can't wait to see you thriving internationally!
