It is mid July, I am still stuck in the city of Athens and I don't know when or if we are going on vacation this Summer... This might be one of the very few summers that we are not in the mood for location/accommodation/tickets research. Sure we do want to take some time off and lie by the beach doing nothing, but work needs to be done ahead!
If we don't manage to get rid of our boredom and unwillingness to decide where to go, Athens is so pretty and big and has so many big parks and hotels with swimming pools and gelato shops and open theaters and so many other places to go and things to see. I think we are going to be fine...
My favorite parks in Athens where you can relax or have a picnic or just a walk or even a photoshooting are the National Garden, Zappeion, Chamber of Mars/Πεδίο του Άρεως (a bit creepy and abandoned, but during the daylight you can find some wonderful spots).
