Oscars 2015 // Red Carpet Favorites

What a glamorous evening! Besides, it's the Oscars, who could expect less? I really enjoyed this year's ceremony, the old Hollywood setting, the tributes, the live performances (especially "Glory" gave me goosebumps), the jokes, the presentation (I am a big fan of the multi-talented Neil Patrick Harris) and, of course, the red carpet. Some of my favorite gals did frustrate me (Scarlet's hair, JLo's boobage, Margot's necklace, Nicole's ill-fitting dress, Julianne's & Kerry's boring whites, Cate's dull black, Naomi's sport's bra) but let's talk about the others, that really made my day!

Gwyneth Paltrow in Ralph & Russo Couture
One word: Stunning! She is the improved image of herself from 16 years ago, when back in 1999 she wore a barbie pink dress and left with a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in "Shakespeare in Love". The pale pink color matches perfectly with her skin tone, the hair and makeup are absolutely appropriate with this huge flower on the shoulder. Maybe I would remove the earrings, but they don't bother me that much. Well done, Gwen!

Jessica Chastain in Givenchy Couture
Love the duality of Jessica's look in all levels:
1) Color: Black & Navy, two dark colors are obviously better than one.
2) Fabric: Sparkly & Soft, an embellished bodice emerges out of the deep draped hourglass satin dress
3) Style: Elegant & Sexy, a body hugging gown, with a high-slit but at the same time so classy.

Jennifer Aniston in Atelier Versace
Looking like a Greek Goddess, Jen couldn't be out of my list. She left her favorite black aside and went for an asymmetrical nude that highlights her tan and statuesque figure perfectly. From the thighs down, the dress is transparent so we can all praise and envy her stunning legs. No better motivation to go to the gym today ;)

Lupita Nyong’o In Calvin Klein Collection
Only a mermaid would dare to wear pearls from head to toe. After last year's Prada dreamy dress, Lupita went for a custom dress made especially for her. A real work of art! Read the story behind the inspiration & creation of her dress @ Vogue, designed by Fransisco Costa.

Zoe Saldana in Atelier Versace
The color, the shape, the drapings, the train... that dress is perfect on her! Love that she is curvier now, thanks to her recent pregnancy, and those extra few pounds make her skin look healthier. She is literally glowing and she is prettier than ever before!
